Welcome to Targeted Instructions Study Skills with Miss Almeida
Overview:
Targeted Instruction classes are designed to meet the specific needs of students with Individualized Education Plans at the high school level. The specific programming and curriculum for each student is determined by your IEP, and input from teachers regarding your personal strengths or weakness. This class is designed to support you with your content area classwork and homework as well as to enhance your learning in all academic areas. During this class we will be going over different executive functioning skills to improve your learning and help manage yourself to achieve your goals. We will also be looking at different stress management techniques that you can use through out the year and while working to achieve your goals.
Grading:
Grading is individualized and based on your own goals and objectives. In addition, you will be graded on your overall organizational efforts, responsibility, on-task behavior and homework completion.
Grading will be as follows:
Targeted Instruction Rubric – 75% (Includes Organization, On Task, Behavior and work toward Goals)
Classwork -25%
